These words, which I heard many times as a young child, formed the foundation of our high quality standards at Fafco Solar.
Although, my father and I were 180 degree opposites, and didn’t see eye to eye on many things — I have him to thank for giving me a wonderful career and the opportunity to do something I’m very passionate about.
In 1975, I came to work for him, primarily to get to know him (plus solar energy sounded pretty interesting to me). I wasn’t planning a long-term career or anything… but here I am, 36 years later, still enjoying solar energy!
Unfortunately, it wasn’t until after my father passed on in 1982 that I learned to appreciate who he was in a deeper way… I’m grateful we had those few years together so that when I think of him now, I have only good memories and a deep sense of love.
